The police arrested a 21 -year -old man on Tuesday, suspected of starting fires at the British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, another property linked to Starmer and a car.
Metropolitan police said the suspect was detained for the suspicion of criminal fire with the intention of endangering life one day after a fire early in the morning damaged the house door on Monday where Starmer and his family lived before being elected to lead the country.
The police said that the arrest also concerned two other fires that could be linked – a vehicle fire near the starmer house on Sunday and a door of May 8 in a property in another part of northern London. The second property is a house transformed into apartments and is also linked to Starmer.

No injury has been reported in any of the fires.
Starmer does not currently live in his private house. Since his entry into office in July, Starmer has lived with his family in the official residence of Prime Minister Downing Street.
Metropolitan police have said that detectives from the fight against terrorism led the investigation due to the “previous links of the Chamber with a high -level public figure”.
Voisin Charles Grant said the police had searched his court on Monday and “said they were looking for a projectile.”
“From what the others have said to me today, I gather someone threw a fire bomb at Keir Starmer,” he said.
Starmer’s house has attracted demonstrators in the past. Last year, three pro-Palestinian activists were arrested and accused of public order offenses after deploying a banner covered with red footprints outside the building.
The main opposition chief, Kemi Badenoch of the Conservative Party, described him as a “shocking incident”.
“No one should face these kinds of threats, not to mention the people of the public service,” she posted on X. “It is an attack on our democracy and must never be tolerated.”
