India squad for Rising Star Asia Cup announced

Jitesh Sharma has been named the captain for India A in the Rising Star Asia Cup 2025 tournament which starts on November 14

Jitesh Sharma will lead the India cricket team in the upcoming Rising Star Asia Cup 2025 which will commence from November 14 onwards. India A have been placed in Group B alongside Oman, UAE and Pakistan A and will take on UAE in the tournament opener. 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi has been named in the squad while Ayush Mhatre, who has been impressive for the past few months, has been excluded.

Jitesh, who is currently a part of the Indian team in the IND vs AUS T20I series, will lead the side in the tournament. MI star Naman Dhir has been named the vice-captain for the side. Abhishek Porel has been named as the second choice wicketkeeper. Suryavanshi is expected to open for India A along with PBKS opener Priyansh Arya.

India A are also set to lock horns with arch-rivals Pakistan on November 16. The final of the tournament will be played on November 23. All matches will be held at the West End International Cricket Stadium in Doha.
