The Prime Minister of British Columbia, David Eby and the Minister of Agriculture and Food, Lana Popham, should speak on Wednesday afternoon of the diversification of exchanges.
They will speak at 12:15 pm. Global News will wear the event live here.
A few weeks ago, Eby congratulated Prime Minister Mark Carney for his electoral victory and urged him to “engage in a new era of federal-professional-territorial cooperation”.
The Missive comes following a campaign in which Carney has positioned itself as the best prepared to strengthen the economy and sovereignty of Canada under the shadow of the price and threats of annexation by US President Donald Trump.

In the letter, Eby underlined the need to decompose interprorcal trade barriers to compensate for the American tariff threat, as well as the need for a national response to Trump attacks against the forest industry.
The letter provided for a “team canada” approach to American flexible wooden tasks, which, he said, represent a serious threat to the economy and the British Columbia workers. Such an approach must support affected workers while seeking to integrate a new flexible wooden agreement into the trade agreements concluded with the United States, he added.
