The secretary of the Cricket Control Council in India (BCCI), Devajit Saikia, confirmed Wednesday that Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma would retain their Grade A + contracts despite the retirement of T20is and Test cricket. The two players were included in the annual restraint of the BCCI 2024-25 players alongside Jasprit Bumrah and Ravi will Ravira Jadeja in the highest category.“The Grade A + contract of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will continue despite their retirement from T20is and tests. They are still part of the Indian Cricket team, and they will get all the Grade A + facilities,” Devajit Saikia told Ani.Virat Kohli announced his Test Cricket retirement before the next five-game England tour, which marks the start of the Indian campaign of the ICC World 2025-27 ICC championship. During his 123 -game trial career extending over 14 years, Kohli scored 9,230 points to an average of 46.85, including 30 centuries and 31 years, with a highest score of 254 not released.

His impressive record includes five centuries and 32 fiftya, with a highest score of 121 not released, which makes him the main run-scorer score in format.
