The International Cricket Council (ICC) published on Wednesday the ranking of the updated Odi Women’s team. Australia continues to direct the table, but England and India have made gains and reduces the gap at the top. According to the ICC website, Australia’s advance has shrunk 40 points compared to 44 after the annual update. They now have 167 notation points, while England is second with 127 points. India, in third place, has won eight notation points and is now at 121 – reducing their gap with England from 11 points to only six.

New Zealand (96), South Africa (90) and Sri Lanka (82) remain respectively in the fourth, fifth and sixth places. However, South Africa has lost nine notation points despite maintaining their position.

The update of the ranking takes into account the matches played from May 2022 to April 2024 to a weighting of 50% and matches after April 2024 at full value. Consequently, the performance of the World Cup semi-final in 2022 in South Africa is no longer counted.

This change also affected the Antilles, which reached the semi-finals in 2022. They fell 10 points, from the seventh to ninth place with 72 points. They now drag Bangladesh (79) and Pakistan (78), which went respectively to the seventh and eighth place.
