5 all-rounders UP Warriorz should target in WPL 2026 mega auction

UP Warriorz have decided to retain just one player and that too an uncapped player, Shweta Sehrawat.

UP Warriorz (UPW) are looking to start over. After two disappointing seasons, finishing 4th in 2024 and 5th in 2025, the Warriorz have decided to leave all of their stars behind and build an entirely new team for the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026 season.

Considering all-rounders play a massive role in women’s cricket, having them is essential. Deepti Sharma won’t be one of the names since the UPW didn’t retain her. But they’ll be going for one of the best spin all-rounders in Amelia Kerr. The Kiwi player didn’t have the best season with the bat last year, but was the highest wicket-taker for the Mumbai Indians (MI) Women.

All-rounder Type Price (2025) WPL 2025 stats
Amelia Kerr Leg-Spin INR 1.00 crore 73 runs at 9.12 & strike rate of 82.95
18 wickets at 15.94 & economy of 7.75
Sophie Devine Pace INR 50.00 lakh Did not play
Nadine de Klerk Pace INR 30.00 lakh Did not play
Pooja Vastrakar Pace INR 1.90 crore Did not play
Alice Capsey Off-spin INR 75.00 lakh 16 runs at 16 & strike rate of 88.88
1 wicket at 25 & economy of 12.50

Sophie Devine was injured last season but can bat in the top order and bowl handy right-arm pace. Nadine de Klerk blew up this World Cup and can play the role of a finisher who can bowl in the middle overs. She didn’t play last year but will definitely be in the starting XI this time around.

Pooja Vastrakar, who missed WPL 2025 due to injury, can hit a long ball and is a frontline pacer. Lastly, Alice Capsey, who didn’t play for the Delhi Capitals (DC) Women last year, could be a valuable pick. She bats in the middle order much like Kerr and has been earmarked by England as one of the most exciting talents.
