Ranji Trophy: Karun Nair did slams a couple of hundreds in the season before, but failed in the latest encounter vs Maharashtra.
The fourth round of Ranji Trophy started on Saturday and once again, there were some noteworthy performances by a few players, across all teams. InsisdeSport takes a look at these headline-makers.
Auqib Nabi takes fifer against Delhi
J&K pacer Auqib Nabi has once again shown that he is the one for the future. In the fourth round match against Delhi, he returned with figures of 5/35, that meant they were bundled out for 211. In the last three matches, he had picked up 19 wickets, making him one of the highest wicket-takers in the Ranji season.
Musheer Khan & Siddhesh Lad slam tons for Mumbai
Sarfaraz Khan’s younger brother Musheer Khan is going through good patch of batting form now. In the last match vs Rajasthan he scored 49 and 63, and then against Himachal Pradesh, he scored his first ton of the season – 112. ON the other hand, seasoned Siddhesh Lad also scored 100 not out. They scored 289/5 at the end of day one.
Karun Nair fails for Karnataka
After scoring 174 & 233, Karun Nair failed against Maharashtra. After not being picked for the South Africa tour, he could only manage 4 from 14. It was skipper Mayank Agarwal who scored 80 from 181 deliveries, to take Karnataka to 257/5. Jalaj Saxena went on to took 80/3 on the day.
GT’s Robin Minz shines for Jharkhand
After his 75 vs Nagaland, finally Jharkhand struck a fifty against a decent opposition, when he slammed 79 vs Baroda. That meant Jharkhand ended the day on 327/5. Kumar Kushagara was the driving force though, as he remained unbeaten 133.
