Green Bay Packers have signed the Canadian quarter Taylor Elgersma, his agent at the NFL Network confirmed on Monday.

Elgersma, who won the Canadian version of the Heisman trophy last year, attended a test earlier this month during a mini recruit.

Packers had an open place on the list, so there was no corresponding transaction. The terms were not published by the Elgersma team or agent, Craig Schaeffer.

“He has a very live arm. We were able to see this on a band,” said Packers coach Matt Lafleur to journalists earlier this month. “He obviously played the senior Bowl and (the coordinator of the Jason death match) was able to see him there.”

Elgersma, 23, played university football in Wilfrid Laurier in Ontario from 2020-24. He obtained the HEC CrIGHTON 2024 trophy, presented to the most remarkable Canadian football player.

After the season, the 6-foot Elgersma 4 inches and 216 pounds became the first Canadian quarter-Arrière ever invited to the senior Bowl.

Elgersma was taken in the second round (18th in total) during the draft of the Canadian Football League in 2025 by the Blue Bombers of Winnipeg.

In addition to the Jordan Love Starter, packers also have Sean Clifford and Malik Willis quarters on the list.
