The Indian Cricket team is expected to start a new phase in the longest format, because the selection committee led by Ajit Agarkar sits to choose the players for the tour in England, perhaps without Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. Although the output of the Hitman in the longest format has been confirmed, the suspense remains on the question of whether the BCCI would succeed in changing its mind. However, the selection committee should choose India a team this week, while the Senior Team of India for the tour should be announced in the coming weeks.
With the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 campaign which should now end on May 30, instead of May 25, the situation has become a little delicate for selectors. Players to choose a team for India:
Abhimhanyu Easwaran, as aircraft, captain. Tanush Kotian, Baba Indrajith, Akash Deep, Karun Nair, among other stars who are under the supervision of the BCCI for the tour. Some of these players could be pushed to the senior team, depending on the level of performance they show.

Players to choose for the Senior Team of India:
Shardul Thakur is very likely to return to the national team in whites, having impressed during the Ranji trophy campaign. His skills also make it an asset, in particular in English conditions adapted to seams.
With DHRUV JUREL and RISHABH PANT which should be the two counters for the assignment of testing against England, Ishan Kishan is unlikely to be chosen despite a return to the central contracts of the BCCI.
