The Pakistan Super League match (PSL) between Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings, scheduled for Thursday evening at the Rawalpindi cricket stadium, was canceled after the Indian armed forces targeted radars and air defense systems in several places. PCB officials suggested moving all the remaining PSL matches to three sites – Karachi, Doha and Dubai. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said on Wednesday that the PSL would occur as planned despite the attack on India and the increase in tensions between the two nations. However, the situation quickly evolved.
“A PSL match in Rawalpindi was canceled after an attack, leaving foreign players in depth. The match was tonight. Many are now looking to leave the country as soon as possible. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will decide after consulting the government,” a former cricket player Pakistan told Ians.
